    Jackson Firefighter Solomon Forbes and his family lost everything in an apartment fire earlier this month. He is also recovering from burns he received while evacuating residents. Solomon evacuated residents out of the apartment complex and then worked to clear the parking lot of vehicles to prepare for fire ground operations.

    The Mississippi Senate took Senate Bill 2835 to the Senate Floor very quickly today.  Senator Joel Carter, Jr. presented S.B. 2835 to the floor and after a floor vote, it passed with only one "nay" vote.  The bill will now be moved over to the House and be assigned to committee.
